We came here on London Cocktail Week as part of a tour (definitely not a crawl…) of bars in Notting Hill. Trailer Happiness is on the corner of Portobello Road and Elgin Crescent. It’s easy to miss, as the only thing marking its spot is a mannequin in what looks like a shop window.
The bar itself is cosy and retro, and trendy without being pretentious. Chilled out music and low level lighting create a good date atmosphere, and the random 1970s decor provides plenty to talk about.
The cocktails are classics with a twist, such as the ‘Kyoto Mojito’, a rum based drink with kafir lime leaves and lemon grass. We ordered some food from the bar menu and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
We think its quirkiness and style make Trailer Happiness a great location for a first date.
