Nestled behind Waterloo station on the corner of Lower Marsh Street sits Cubana, a lively Cuban bar with delicious cocktails, live music and tasty food. I don’t think I’ve been to a another bar in London as many times as I’ve been to Cubana which shows how much I love it!
This has long been one of my favourite London hide-outs, so when I ended up near Waterloo on a recent date, I immediately thought to come to ScooterCaffè.

If you fancy a cinema date but are looking for something a bit different, check out what’s on at the BFI. A trendy and stylish setting, the BFI plays new and old classics.
Start your date at the quirky BFI bar which has a 1970s feel to it with stand up lamps and sofas that you sink into. It gets very busy at the weekends but it’s big enough that you can usually find a seat if you want to.
We wouldn’t advise going to the cinema if this is your first date but if you’ve been going out for a while or have a long term partner then the IMAX is a great place to go to, especially as the double seats allow you to get a little closer.
The IMAX at Waterloo boasts the biggest screen in Britain and believe us, it is massive. If you’re a fan of the cinema, you will be especially impressed.
