Situated deep in the heart of Dulwich is Belair House, a beautiful 18th Century Georgian mansion that lies in the grounds of Belair park. A quirky yet stylish venue with eccentric staff, delicious food and well made cocktails. It is an ideal venue to hit up on a relaxed summertime date in South East London.
Hiding in plain view on a rooftops on the Southbank is ‘The Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden’, One of the prettiest and most peaceful places in the area. If you’re on a date nearby then it is well worth a visit to this secret little haven.
Having a panoramic view over London with a drink in hand is the perfect way to spend a summer’s day, evening or both. There’s no denying that London at a great height shows London at its most beautiful. But these views usually come with a premium price which is why LDG has got you covered. We’ve only included the bars that are well worth the price, and best of all, offer that little something extra…
Sitting atop a hill near Forest Hill station is The Horniman Museum and Gardens which provided the setting for a recent daytime date of mine.
We can honestly say that on a sunny day Brockwell Lido will be host to one of the loveliest dates you’ll ever have in London.
Sitting in Brockwell Park, a short walk from the centre of Brixton, you can start your date by taking the 10 minute walk and enjoying the park greenery. Just follow the path and you’ll soon find yourself at the Lido. Beware – on a sunny day the Lido gets very busy so you may have to queue but believe us, it’s worth it. We’ve only ever to wait 40 mins max and the queue moves fairly smoothly.
