Caravan Kings Cross

Just a short walk around the back of Kings Cross Station leads you to the not so well known, ‘Granary Square’ an imaginative oasis of redeveloped warehouses, hidden by a wall of construction. I realize that this picture does not paint one of romance but I think its secrecy is the key to its charm. My date and I arrived at sunset, where outside the red-lit fountains glistened in the evening sun, providing the mood for the evening ahead.

Brixton for a Date

Brixton may not conjure up images of romance but it’s been developing fast over the past few years so it’s not one to overlook. The area around the classic Ritzy cinema has been completely redeveloped and now regularly plays host to small festivals and events. Brixton village, a once dilapidated shopping arcade is now a super trendy restaurant hotspot and Brixton’s bars and clubs are some of the most fun and vibrant in London.

Tea and Macaroons at Laduree

A cute little French cafe, Laduree sits above the square by Covent Garden Apple Market and is a breath of fresh air away from the throngs of crowds.

It’s a bit of squeeze but a lovely place to while away the afternoon and get to know your date whilst enjoying a macaroon or three. It really has got that French feel to it with it’s pastel green and pink striped decor and chandeliers.
