Perched at the top of the Hilton on Park Lane, Galvin at Windows is nothing short of stunning.
You’ll start your evening in one of the futuristic lifts which will whisk you up 28 floors in a matter of seconds.
When you reach the top, the panoramic views of London will take your breath away. Although the entire restaurant boasts spectacular views of London landmarks such as Battersea Power Station and the London Eye, if your visit is in the evening, try to sit on the right hand side of the restaurant so you can watch the sun set over London.
The menu is on the pricey side but if it’s a special occasion, it’s worth every penny. It’s worth checking out the fixed price menu which offers three courses for £65 but it’s more like five. We tried the scallops ceviche for starter, roast tournedos of hake for main followed by the caramelised Royal Gala apple tarte tatin, all of which were quite simply delicious. An extra lovely touch is the jar of marshmallows that you’ll get placed on your table at the end of your meal. Although we were completely stuffed, we couldn’t resist them! The service will also make you feel like someone special, you won’t want to leave.
