Tipped as one of London’s most romantic restaurants, in the heart of the west end in busy Covent garden, Clos Maggiore is a sanctuary of romance and calm.
I was taken here on a date and I have to admit, when I first saw the beautiful conservatory, I was pretty awestruck. Split into two different decors, Clos Maggiores starts with a dark, wooden, Edwardian feel to it which although it interesting, is nothing compared to the magic of ivy and twinkling fairy lights in the conservatory.
Serving French cuisine, with lots to satisfy meat and fish lovers and offer you something that you would rarely try otherwise, the food is nothing short of delicious. The service is also excellent throughout the meal, with the waiter often appearing out of nowhere to fill up wine glasses and bring round the bread basket (which, offers a tasty selection of warm, freshly baked breads). Even if you’re not a dessert lover, we would also recommend trying something here – though not what you’d expect, the bread and butter pudding is particularly tasty.
Clos Maggiore also does a fantastic pre-theatre menu which is well worth the money. For £25 each you will get a choice of starter and main as well as half a bottle of wine.
A firm favourite of ours, you’ll want to come back here.

Me and my boyfriend come here for our anniversary every year, it’s lovely but definitely agree that you need to sit in the conversatory! Bleeding heart is also really nice.
