I’m not much of a fan of chain restaurants; always preferring to go to independents, but new chain Bill’s has much more of an individual quality to it than most. I discovered this when I was brought here for dinner last week.
We went to the branch which sits right next to the Adelphi theatre and were warmly welcomed by our waitress. The atmosphere was buzzing without being too rowdy which provided the perfect background. Bill’s serves a range of dishes including burgers, pastas and fish dishes though I’d say it’s perhaps not the best place for a big meat eater.
I opted for the haloumi and vegetable burger while my date choose the fish finger sandwich. Served up on wooden boards and complete with a stack of fries, the food was fresh and tasty and exactly what we were looking for on a rainy Friday evening.
All in all, Bill’s provided great service, tasty food and was well priced; It’s a place to come back to for sure, so if you’re thinking of going to a chain restaurant, think about going to Bill’s; it will be the same price as going any Strada or Pizza Express and will be much nicer.
